Radiofrequency Ablation Combined with Sorafenib for Liver Cancer with Portal Hypertension

Radiofrequency ablation combined with sorafenib significantly improves liver function and survival rates in liver cancer patients with portal hypertension. Among 100 patients, the combined therapy group showed a higher total effective rate (82.00%) compared to the control group (56.00%). Prognostic factors include Child-Pugh grade, tumor size (6-10 cm), hepatitis history, sorafenib use, cancer stage (IIIC), and prior splenectomy. This approach offers promise for managing the complex challenges posed by liver cancer in patients with portal hypertension.
