Patients with gallbladder carcinoma who have abnormal levels of CA19-9 to total bilirubin ratio post-surgery experience poorer long-term survival outcomes. Adjuvant therapy can significantly enhance the overall survival and recurrence-free survival rates in these patients. The study highlights the importance of monitoring CA19-9/TB ratio changes as a prognostic indicator after curative-intent resection for gallbladder carcinoma.
