Direct percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy (DPEJ) is a safe and effective alternative to surgical jejunostomy, with lower rates of adverse events at 90 days. Procedural success rates were similar among DPEJ, laparoscopic jejunostomy, and open jejunostomy, but DPEJ had significantly lower rates of tube dysfunction. DPEJ may offer a cost-effective and less invasive option for enteral feeding access in eligible patients.
