Ultrasound-guided ablation techniques, particularly radiofrequency ablation (RFA), show effectiveness in treating benign thyroid nodules. RFA with 2 sessions is optimal for solid nodules, while polidocanol ablation stands out for cystic nodules. A network meta-analysis of 35 studies involving 5655 patients demonstrated RFA as the most effective method at 12 months, with RFA2 showing strong outcomes at 6 months. Various ablation methods show promise in managing benign thyroid nodules.
