Enhanced Disease-Free Survival in Pancreatic Cancer Patients with Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy and Vascular Resection

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy before pancreaticoduodenectomy with vascular resection led to improved disease-free survival in pancreatic cancer patients. Patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy had more favorable pathological outcomes, decreased vascular invasion, and completed chemotherapy more often. The neoadjuvant chemotherapy group exhibited a significant increase in disease-free survival compared to those who underwent upfront surgery, highlighting the advantages of neoadjuvant therapy in this patient population.
