Direct-acting antivirals significantly improve outcomes of liver resection for hepatitis C-related hepatocellular carcinoma. Patients achieving sustained virological response (svr) had significantly better survival rates compared to those who did not. Introduction of direct-acting antivirals in the post-era resulted in superior survival outcomes. Svr was identified as an independent predictor of survival. The study highlights the crucial role of svr in enhancing hepatocellular carcinoma resection outcomes.
