Identification of Early Detection Biomarkers for Pancreatic Cancer

Metabolomics analysis identified indoleacetate, 3-hydroxydecanoate, and retention index as top candidate biomarkers for early detection of pancreatic cancer in plasma samples. A logistic regression model incorporating these metabolites, along with other clinical factors, significantly improved risk prediction compared to models without these markers. Continued research is needed to establish the clinical utility of these biomarkers for early pancreatic cancer detection.
