Lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMS) show promising results for treating short benign biliary strictures, with a high technical success rate of 100% and a clinical success rate of 85.7%. Adverse events, including stent migration, were found in 17.1% of patients, and stricture recurrence occurred in 18.5% of cases. LAMS placement appears to be a safe and effective option, especially for patients with caliber disproportion between the stricture and the duct above.
