Laser Hemorrhoidoplasty Reduces Pain and Bleeding Over Conventional Hemorrhoidectomy

Diode laser hemorrhoidoplasty demonstrates superiority over conventional hemorrhoidectomy in reducing operative blood loss, postoperative hemorrhage, operative time, and postoperative pain score. However, there is no significant difference in complications such as fecal/flatus incontinence, urinary retention, and hemorrhoid recurrence. Subgroup analyses support these findings, highlighting the benefits of laser hemorrhoidoplasty in terms of minimizing postoperative complications and discomfort.
