Multidisciplinary Approach Boosts Surgical Outcomes for Retroperitoneal Sarcomas in India

Establishing a dedicated multidisciplinary tumor board significantly improved surgical outcomes for retroperitoneal sarcoma patients. The post-clinic era saw a marked increase in annual surgeries from 16.3 to 42.4 (p = 0.001), and a rise in complex resections (49% vs. 18.2%; p = 0.0001). These changes underscore the importance of standardized management protocols and collaborative care in achieving optimal oncological results.
