GLR as an Independent Prognostic Marker in Colorectal Cancers

Preoperative glucose/lymphocyte ratio (GLR) in colorectal cancers independently predicts prognosis. Analysis of 222 patients showed high GLR (≥3.04) correlated with increased mortality (p=0.001) and lower overall survival rates. GLR levels (p≤0.001) significantly related to age, perineural invasion, tumor grade, TNM stage, and surgery time. GLR ≥3.04 raised mortality risk 2.9 times (p=0.003). GLR could aid in survival analysis and warrants further research in similar patient groups.
