Male patients with small intestinal stromal tumors (SISTs) have a higher risk of mortality compared to females. Females exhibit superior overall survival and cancer-specific survival rates than males. Surgical intervention significantly improves survival outcomes in both genders. Gender, along with age, grade, TNM stage, surgery, and mitotic rate, serves as a predictive indicator for survival in SISTs patients. This study analyzed 3513 SISTs patients from the SEER database.
