Robotic complex hepatectomy reduces perioperative morbidity for hepatocellular carcinoma

Robotic complex hepatectomy (RCH) offers advantages over laparoscopic complex hepatectomy (LCH) for patients with solitary hepatocellular carcinoma, showing lower blood loss, transfusion rates, and postoperative complications, including 30-day morbidity and post-hepatectomy liver failure. Additionally, RCH is an independent protective factor for reducing major morbidity. These findings suggest that RCH may be a preferable choice for patients requiring complex hepatectomy, due to its ability to minimize postoperative morbidity.
