ICG-guided laparoscopic hepatectomy significantly improves R0 resection rates for liver malignancies compared to non-ICG methods. A meta-analysis of seven studies totaling 598 patients showed a higher rate of complete tumor eradication with ICG guidance, indicating its efficacy in enhancing surgical outcomes without compromising safety. This systematic review highlights the potential of ICG fluorescence imaging in aiding laparoscopic liver resections for better patient outcomes.
