Liver MRI led to a 24.12% change in local treatment plans for patients eligible for surgical resection or ablation of colorectal liver metastases, based on CT findings. This study highlights the significant added value of liver MRI, particularly with contrast-enhanced imaging and diffusion-weighted sequences, in guiding preinterventional decision-making. Further large prospective studies are warranted to solidify the clinical benefit of incorporating routine liver MRI in the management of colorectal liver metastases.
