AI-assisted coaching program, SmartCoach, significantly enhanced surgical performance and safety for novice surgeons in laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures. Surgeons in the coaching group showed substantial improvement in performance scores and critical view of safety achievement compared to self-learning counterparts. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the program, underscoring its potential to advance surgical education and standardize procedural skills.
