Revisional bariatric surgery showed a positive impact on antidiabetic treatment reimbursement over a 4-year follow-up, reducing or discontinuing treatments and decreasing costs per patient. A study in France compared different revisional surgery sequences after sleeve gastrectomy and adjustable gastric banding, revealing significant changes in reimbursed antidiabetic treatments. These findings suggest the potential cost-effectiveness of revisional surgery in managing diabetes in bariatric patients.
