Large duct-type ICCA exhibits worse overall and recurrence-free survival rates compared to small duct-type ICCA. Mutational landscape analysis revealed distinct genetic alterations, with specific mutations in ARID1A, DOT1L, and ELF3 more common in large duct-type ICCA, while mutations in IDH1 and BAP1 were prevalent in small duct-type ICCA. The overexpression of PPP1R1B in large duct-type ICCA suggests its potential as a marker and therapeutic target.
