Findings reveal the albumin-lymphocyte-globulin-C-reactive protein (ALGC) index as a significant prognostic biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after hepatectomy. In a cohort of 178 patients, a low ALGC index (<1.82) correlated with worse overall survival (OS), while higher levels indicated improved outcomes. The median OS was 100 months, with 1-, 3-, and 5-year OS rates at 91.6%, 81.2%, and 64.2%, respectively. Specific factors such as tumor size and microvascular invasion also influenced survival.
