Imaging model improves risk stratification for HCC treatment

An imaging-derived biomarker effectively stratified mvi-positive HCC patients for adjuvant hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC). In a study of 470 patients, key imaging features distinguished prognostic subgroups, leading to significantly different recurrence-free survival rates (RFS) (median RFS, 6.00 vs. 66.00 months, p<0.01). The model exhibited robust predictive performance with AUC values of 0.83, 0.84, and 0.73 across various cohorts, thus supporting the individualization of treatment strategies for better patient outcomes.
