Analysis of 26 studies involving 6456 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients demonstrated that hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) consistently outperformed Sorafenib in overall survival (OS) outcomes, except for those refractory to trans-arterial chemoembolization. Key risk factors for reduced OS included larger tumor size and heavier tumor burden, while HAIC treatment and lower BCLC stage acted as protective factors. The study reveals the robust correlation between one-year OS and progression-free survival, guiding future research in HCC treatment.
