A modified Delphi process revealed eleven critical research questions in hernia surgery following a review of eleven clinical practice guidelines. Inguinal and epigastric/umbilical hernias emerged as major areas of interest, alongside topics such as diastasis recti management and comparisons between primary versus mesh repairs. This structured approach effectively captures stakeholder priorities, aiming to enhance clinical trial design and funding in hernia research.
