ADV score effectively identifies high-risk hepatocellular carcinoma patients

A multicenter study evaluated the ADV score’s efficacy in identifying hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients at high risk of recurrence. The analysis involved 755 patients and established risk groups based on microvascular invasion and Edmonson-Steiner grade. Results showed that the ADV score differentiates these groups effectively, with a 70.2% sensitivity in the training cohort and 78.8% in the validation cohort. A cut-off value of 5.7 log for high-risk identification could significantly aid clinical decision-making.
