Cystic Plate Approach Enhances Safety in Laparoscopic Hepatectomy

Integrating the cystic plate approach with ICG fluorescence significantly enhances laparoscopic anatomical hepatectomy. In a study of 38 patients, this technique demonstrated no increase in operation time or intraoperative blood loss compared to conventional methods. Postoperative liver function and recovery metrics were also unaffected, confirming the approach’s safety. By utilizing real-time fluoroscopic guidance, the cystic plate method facilitates precise anatomical liver resections, particularly beneficial for complex cases, without raising complication rates.
