A comparative analysis indicates that robotic cholecystectomy is linked to lower risks of severe complications, reduced conversion to open surgery, and shorter hospital stays compared to the laparoscopic technique. Utilizing data from over 59,000 patients, multivariable logistic regression showed odds ratios favoring robotic techniques, including a 18% lower risk of serious complications and a 24% decrease in hospitalization exceeding 24 hours. No significant differences were found in reoperation or readmission rates.
