Laparoscopic training using lsppdm framework enhances surgical skills

A randomized trial demonstrated that surgical trainees using the evidence-based lsppdm pedagogical framework outperformed those in a traditional training program. Trainees in the lsppdm group achieved higher subjective and theoretical assessment scores and completed procedures with greater efficiency and quality. They exhibited enhanced technical and non-technical skills, particularly in laparoscopic cholecystectomy training, compared to their traditional counterparts. The findings indicate that the lsppdm framework leads to improved training outcomes for surgical residents.
