A dramatic near 70% decline in resectable or borderline metastatic colorectal cancer cases was observed over the past five years. Researchers noted significant changes in metastasis distribution; specifically, m1a pathological cases decreased while m1c cases rose from 26.6% to 32.4%. Notably, stage 4b emerged as a strong predictor for hepatic metastasis. These findings underscore the necessity for adapting interdisciplinary treatment strategies in response to evolving metastatic patterns.
