New definitions and treatments for borderline resectable liver metastases

A narrative review highlights the importance of recognizing “borderline resectable colorectal liver metastases” (br-crlm) as a distinct entity. Advances in surgical techniques, locoregional therapies, and perioperative chemotherapy have improved long-term survival outcomes for patients with br-crlm undergoing treatment. The current literature shows considerable heterogeneity, emphasizing the necessity for consensus in defining and managing these cases.
