Laser hemorrhoidoplasty demonstrates high satisfaction and effectiveness in Bangladesh

Laser hemorrhoidoplasty proved effective for grade II-IV hemorrhoids in 86 patients, achieving 100% reduction in size and 97.7% satisfaction. The procedure, averaging 14.7 minutes, showed significant improvement in pain and overall health across three follow-up periods. While complications were noted in 19.8% of cases by week six, additional mucopexy was necessary for certain patients to prevent recurrence. This minimally invasive surgery offers a promising outpatient option in lower middle-income settings.
