A study assessing simultaneous minimally invasive resections of colorectal liver metastases and primary tumors found the procedure to be safe and feasible. Out of 281 patients, 11.7% underwent this approach, primarily affecting rectal tumors. Notably, no anastomotic leakages occurred post-resection, with complication rates remaining consistent regardless of surgical difficulty. These findings suggest that the indications for simultaneous resections might be broadened, enhancing treatment options for oligometastatic colorectal cancer.
