A novel ALBI-GGT score was developed to enhance prognostic accuracy for patients undergoing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) resection. This composite score combines the albumin-bilirubin and gamma-glutamyl transferase metrics, showing superior predictive ability for long-term survival compared to either measure alone. In multivariable analysis, both components significantly predicted overall mortality, with the ALBI-GGT score achieving the highest predictive accuracy (c-index: 0.68) and effectively stratifying patients into distinct survival groups.
