The surgical disaster response team from Ankara Etlik City Hospital addressed significant challenges following the February 6, 2023 earthquakes in Türkiye. Operating in Hatay-Reyhanlı, the team performed a total of 96 orthopedic procedures, representing 80% of interventions. Recommendations highlight the need for a comprehensive disaster preparedness plan, emphasizing integrated roles for various specialists, including pediatricians and emergency medicine experts. Ensuring robust team structure and clear management can enhance response efficiency in future disasters.
