A retrospective analysis of 120 ventral hernia repairs highlights the advantages of robotic-assisted techniques over laparoscopic methods. The robotic group demonstrated significantly higher mean hernia defects, shorter operating times, fewer postoperative complications, reduced pain scores at 24 hours and 14 days post-surgery, and better patient well-being scores. Notably, the robotic approach minimized the need for component separation, particularly in smaller defects. These findings suggest promising short-term outcomes for robotic-assisted extraperitoneal repairs in Indian settings.
