PBT demonstrates promising tumor local control and overall survival rates while offering a safer alternative to traditional photon radiotherapy. It effectively downstages HCC for liver transplantation, proving non-inferior to various non-surgical treatments. Future studies should explore PBT combinations with other therapeutic modalities for enhanced outcomes.
