Reduced Late Complications After Minimally Invasive Total Gastrectomy

Improved standardized procedures in minimally invasive total gastrectomy led to significantly lower late overall complications in patients with gastric cancer. Late intestinal complications decreased notably, with fewer patients requiring reoperation. The 3-year cumulative incidence rate of late complications was significantly lower post-standardization. This study underscores the importance of tailored procedures in reducing risks and enhancing outcomes in gastric cancer surgery.
