High success rate achieved in robotic-assisted esophagectomy

A significant 90% of patients achieved textbook outcomes following robotic-assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE) in a single-center analysis involving 150 consecutive patients. Key findings included a median hospital stay of 7 days, low mortality rates of 0.7% at 30 days and 1.3% at 90 days, and a complete pathologic response in 27% of patients. These results emphasize the effectiveness of robotic platforms and standardized techniques in enhancing postoperative outcomes for esophagectomy.
