Comparing the Incidence of Bile Reflux and Quality of Life Among Different Reconstruction Methods After Laparoscopic Distal Gastrectomy

The study aimed to compare the incidence of bile reflux, quality of life (QOL), and nutritional status among different reconstruction methods after laparoscopic distal gastrectomy. The results showed that Roux-en-Y reconstruction had the lowest incidence of bile reflux, followed by Billroth II with Braun anastomosis, and then Billroth II. Billroth II with Braun anastomosis was better than Billroth II in terms of anti-reflux capability and QOL. However, it did not perform as well as Roux-en-Y in preventing bile reflux and reducing postoperative nausea symptoms. Nutritional status and morbidities were similar among the three groups.
