Survival and quality of life outcomes in patients with uveal melanoma liver metastases treated with isolated hepatic perfusion were evaluated in a Phase III randomized controlled trial. Isolated hepatic perfusion led to significantly longer progression-free survival compared to standard care, but no significant difference in overall survival at 24 months. Patients receiving isolated hepatic perfusion also experienced better health-related quality of life outcomes over 12 months post-treatment.
