Improved Overall Survival in Metastatic Adrenocortical Carcinoma with Surgical Management

Surgical management, including primary tumor resection alone or with metastasectomy, significantly improved overall survival (OS) in metastatic adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) patients. Metastasectomy alone did not show a survival benefit. Primary resection with metastasectomy was associated with better OS compared to primary tumor resection alone. These findings suggest that selected patients with metastatic ACC may benefit from surgical intervention, but further research is needed for appropriate patient selection.
