Machine Learning Outperforms Traditional Methods in Predicting Postoperative Outcomes After GI Surgery

Machine learning models demonstrated significantly higher discriminatory performance compared to logistic regression models in predicting postoperative outcomes for patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery. Standardized protocols and practical implementation of machine learning models should be further explored.
