Laparoscopic Gastrectomy in Super-Geriatric Gastric Cancer

Geriatric patients with locally advanced gastric cancer who underwent laparoscopic gastrectomy had lower overall complication rates, shorter hospital stays, and less blood loss compared to those who underwent open gastrectomy. There was no significant difference in 3-year overall survival between the two groups, suggesting laparoscopic gastrectomy may offer similar or better surgical and oncological outcomes for super-geriatric patients.
