Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) is independently associated with postoperative complications, pathological complete response prediction, and prognostication in neoadjuvant immunotherapy-treated esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Higher GNRI correlates with increased pathological complete response rates, decreased severe morbidity, and improved 3-year overall and disease-free survival. GNRI, utilizing nutrition-related indicators, serves as a valuable tool for risk assessment and prognostic prediction in this patient population.
