Comparison of Intestinal Perfusion Using ICG and MB Imaging

Real-time assessment of bowel perfusion using methylene blue and indocyanine green was successful in a porcine model, with MB showing a stronger correlation with local lactate levels compared to ICG. This study demonstrates the potential utility of MB as a viable alternative for assessing intestinal perfusion alongside ICG. Further research is needed to translate these findings into clinical practice.
