Radiological Marker Correlates with Tumor Budding in Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic cancer’s radiomorphological appearance on MRI correlates with tumor budding, a marker of poor prognosis. Intermediate to high spiculation on MRI was seen in 64% of tumors, with over 90% showing tumor buds. A positive correlation existed between MRI spiculation grade and histopathological tumor bud density. This radiological marker may help identify patients needing extensive surgery or personalized therapies, offering a non-invasive estimation of tumor behavior.
