Robotic surgery in hepatobiliary oncology, using the da Vinci Xi system, resulted in favorable patient outcomes with a low conversion rate, no postoperative mortality, and high 5-year overall survival and disease-free survival rates. Patient selection was crucial for success. The study highlights the technical superiority and safety of robotic hepatobiliary surgery, demonstrating feasibility and efficacy in a high-volume unit.
