Preoperative ICG-R15 testing effectively predicts post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) following major liver resection. A retrospective review of 72 patients revealed that 38.9% experienced PHLF, with 33.3% being severity score B and 4.16% score C. Univariate and multivariate analyses identified future liver remnant, ICG-R15 levels, and blood transfusion as independent predictors of PHLF. These findings emphasize the value of preoperative ICG-R15 testing in assessing the risk of PHLF post major liver resection.
