Timely palliative care and surgery improve quality of life and reduce costs for seriously ill adults. However, healthcare providers in Singapore lack knowledge and face significant challenges in providing palliative care. A survey revealed misconceptions and limited understanding among providers, emphasizing the need for improved education and awareness in caring for seriously ill adults.
