Simulation-based curriculum significantly improves surgical residents’ ability to perform vascular anastomoses, as evidenced by high satisfaction ratings and improved technical skills. This six-part curriculum provides a valuable opportunity for residents to acquire critical open vascular surgical skills in an era dominated by endovascular surgery, filling a crucial training gap. Over the past decade, a substantial number of residents have successfully participated in and benefited from this innovative educational program, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing residents’ proficiency in open vascular techniques.
