Combining chemotherapy with lenvatinib improves survival in advanced HCC

Enhanced overall survival (27.0 months) and progression-free survival (8.0 months) were observed in the HAIC-len-p group compared to the len-p alone group (9.0 months and 3.0 months, respectively, p <0.001). The objective response rate was significantly higher in the HAIC-len-p cohort (67.3% vs. 29.1%, p <0.001). Notably, the combination therapy did not lead to a higher incidence of severe adverse events compared to len-p alone, indicating its potential as a safer alternative treatment.

• Why it matters: There are limited treatment options for advanced HCC.
