Analysis of 1,137 cases revealed that total hospitalization costs for pancreaticoduodenectomy were notably higher compared to pancreatectomy and hepatectomy within the China Healthcare Security Diagnosis Related Groups system. Length of hospital stay was significantly longer for pancreaticoduodenectomy patients. While the costs of pancreaticoduodenectomy and pancreatectomy were comparable, both exceeded those of hepatectomy. These findings emphasize the need for further research to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the diagnosis-related grouping system.
